Geo's Biography
![]() As a kid my older brother and sister exposed me to LED ZEPPLIN, QUEEN, THIN LIZZY, DAVID BOWIE, DEEP PURPLE, ELTON JOHN and THE ROLLING STONES, just to name a few. But it wasn't until an older cousin let me listen to "KISS ALIVE" that I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Which was to play guitar in a rock band. In high school I jammed with a lot of different people but it always came to an end because I wanted to write and play our own material not anyone else's. It wasn't until my graduation year that I began to pursue my musical career with passion. I set out to find the right people, which took quite a while through placing ads and responding to ads as well. This process was excruciating, because you come across every wanna be under the sun. I could tell you all the horror stories but I think I'll save that for the book. Not that I'm saying that I was any sort of guitar virtuoso back then or even now for that matter, but I could definitely more than held my own back then. To add insult to injury, I had a rehearsal space with no one to play with. But in Feb of '92 that all changed, that's when I crossed paths with the first piece of the puzzle of my dream band. He was the first person I met who had the same vision and focus that I had. The two of us set our sights on completing that vision, which you now know we did. I will be the first person to admit that to get to that point was demoralizing but it was well worth it in the end. Six years later we had to face parting ways with some who were building blocks of the foundation that created VICIOUS CIRCLE. Then it was some more new faces and more moving on, but I'd like to personally wish them all the best now and in the future. I must admit that they have been some of the biggest influences on me musically. As Dave and Matt have need fully indoctrinated we begin doing the same with our newest member Mike. I must tip my hat to all of them for having the balls to jump into the deep end with me headfirst. One thing I must say is that I couldn't have persevered through it all without the support of my family and friends and for that I truly thank God. |
