Dave
Dave's Biography

My writing this Bio was like pulling teeth. So sit back, close your eyes and prepare for the shrill whine of the drill. Growing up on Canada 's East coast, I fell in with the "heavy" crowd. (Not fat, but HEAVY) While others around were listening to Rush and Def Leppard , we were in Mom & Dad's basement pounding out Motorhead , Angelwitch , and Venom covers. Kind of explains why we only played house parties.

Upon moving to the West coast, my musical tastes changed with the scenery. Gone were the days of studded wrist bands and bullet belts. The next problem: Why does my wee-wee look so small in spandex? Nothing a few socks can't fix. My musical tastes in the '80's changed as often as my hair color. Dan Reed Network, Level 42, Rush, Paul Young...but I always returned to my musical steady - Journey. I progressed from a Fender copy to a Hamer Blitz Bass (damn you Def Leppard ), to my Warwick Thumb Bass (my current steady for the last 9 years). I love my Bass. If it had a hole drilled in the back ...( oops, different story).

I spent 6 years in the late '80's and early '90's in a band called Young Gun, playing across Canada and throughout California . We even did a showcase at the Cat Club in N.Y.C....a little intimidating. I hooked up with the "Circle Boys" about 2 years ago, after much coaxing from George. A wise move. If you're a bass player looking for a band full of friendly, talented and easy-going guys...screw you, they're mine!!!

To my family, friends, band mates and everyone else out there who helped, humped, and picked me up when I was down...hand on heart to you. To all those who doubted, back-stabbed and kicked me when I was down...hand on "member" moving forward and backward rapidly to you. Now, let's get back to the hole in the Bass..
